Beads and Clay: Hawai’i
Beads and Clay: Hawai’i
After a hiatus of a couple of years, I have a small batch of BAC beaded earrings available again. My beaded earrings over the years have largely been inspired by the natural landscapes I move through. These pieces were all made during my time on the Big Island.
The beadwork is done with Czech and Japanese seed beads. Each piece features semi-precious stones such as pearls, jades, ambers, turquoise, roman glass, and jaspers to name a few.
Drop down to select the earring you are interested in. The price and the corresponding image will appear.
**Please note that the ceramic beads and fastenings I make in my work, like all ceramic materials, are fragile. They can break if they are dropped onto a hard surface. I am happy to offer assistance and advice if an accident occurs. I have never experienced a piece breaking by myself or others except in the circumstance of it being dropped from a height. I sell ceramic earrings with closable hooks for this reason, but pieces should be handled which care when being put on or taken off.
General Care- Beaded earrings are strung with Nymo webbing which has memory. For this reason, always store your earrings laying flat or hung so that the strands are straight and the weaving is level. Keeping your jewelry away from water and removing it before bed will also help with longevity.
